Shawn Martin is a Realtor® with a lifelong passion for homes. Raised in upstate New York, her love for houses and architecture emerged as she built with blocks as a small child, flourished as she advanced to LEGOs, and spread across styles as she began designing imaginary mushroom houses for fairies.

She moved to Atlanta in 1986 and attended Emory University before obtaining her law degree from UGA, meeting her husband Jim, having two wonderful children, and practicing corporate law at a large Atlanta firm for nine years, through which she learned negotiation and client service skills at the highest level.

Shawn and Jim have personally bought and sold ten homes of their own over the last 25 years, from a townhouse to a custom-designed 5400 sq. ft new construction home, in all areas of north and northeast Atlanta, Morningside, Virginia-Highland, Decatur, Oak Grove, Brookhaven and even in Westchester County, NY, during a two-year relocation; these experiences have given Shawn insight into what makes a home work and what doesn't from from both the buyer's and seller's sides at price points ranging from starter homes to dream homes.

Shawn also spent half a decade as a partner in RocketHouse Design + Build, where she and her partner built custom modern homes for a wide array of clients, with Shawn leading the client relationships and design selections to ensure that every project was exactly what the client wanted. Her vision enables her to see all the possibilities a home has to offer. All of these experiences, personal and professional, make Shawn the Realtor you need in your corner throughout your home-buying journey. She's a Bulldog, but a nice one who loves spending time with her husband and college-aged kids, loves music, everything midcentury modern, playing Mahjongg, and snuggling with her Sphinx cats.
