Druid Hills

Druid Hills was developed with the efforts of some of Atlanta’s leading families of the era. The homes in Druid Hills are a site to be seen and contain some of Atlanta’s historic mansions from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. People are surprised to learn that most of the homes in Druid Hills were purchased from Sears, delivered on a custom rail line, and assembled on some of the largest estate lots in Atlanta.

The Druid Hills neighborhood and parks were designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. Better known for designing Central Park in New York City, the Stanford University Campus, and the Capitol grounds in Washington, DC., Olmsted's work in Druid Hills is nonetheless just as inspired.

Home to Emory University, the Atlanta Boys' Choir, the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, Baker Woodland, Fernbank Science Center and the Fernbank Natural History Museum, Druid Hills is a jewel in Atlanta's crown.
